Richard A. Brink

Richard Brink is the principal of The Brink Group of Specialty Sales. The agency concentration is sales to electrical and mechanical OEM’s directly and through distribution.

Mr. Brink is a former Vice President of Operations and equity partner with the RDI Group, a machinery systems manufacturer serving the asphalt roofing products industry. Prior to RDI he was Vice President of Operations with Siemens Energy and Automation, an assignment that included both domestic and international manufacturing.

Prior to acquisition by Siemens, Mr. Brink was Vice President of Operations, equity partner, and Division General Manager of Furnas Electric, a manufacturer of electrical components and equipment. He began his career with Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he held several positions of increasing responsibility including Managing Director of Sales of the Electrical Components Division.

Mr. Brink is a proven leader and executive in electrical and mechanical manufacturing. His expertise includes sales, operations, engineering, materials, procurement, manufacturing and service. Within these areas of expertise, he has led domestic operations, outsourcing initiatives, sheltered manufacturing, regional sales / manufacturing centers, and launched several new product and marketing campaigns.

Mr. Brink holds a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University where he was a member of the Purdue Basketball Team and Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He currently sits on the boards of a prominent commercial roofing company and The DuPage County Junior Achievement. Mr. Brink and his wife Marilyn have three children, Brian, Lindsay, and Lauren. The family enjoys a variety of sports including golf and scuba diving.
